FAQs
+ What makes DC² different from other consulting firms?
DC² brings together executive partnership, business operations, strategic communications, and creative thinking. I look at the larger business objective, identify what is creating friction or holding progress back, and help develop the strategy and execution needed to move it forward.
Because I understand both the operational and communications sides of an organization, I can connect strategy to execution rather than treating each area as a separate function.
+ What types of organizations do you work with?
I work with executives, founders, professional firms, nonprofits, and growing organizations that need strategic thinking and practical execution across operations, communications, and special projects.
+ Do you only provide consulting, or can you help with execution?
Both. Some engagements focus on strategy and direction, while others involve hands on project leadership and implementation. The scope depends on what the organization needs and where I can make the greatest difference.
+ What does working with DC² look like?
Every engagement starts with a conversation about your business, what you’re trying to accomplish and where you need support.
From there, I’ll identify the areas where I can be most useful and recommend an approach based on your priorities, timeline and needs.
Some clients need ongoing support and others need someone to take ownership of a specific project or initiative. I can work within either model, depending on what makes sense for the business.
+ How do you measure success?
Success depends on the objective. I look at the appropriate business, operational, project, audience, or communications metrics to understand what is working and where adjustments are needed.
+ Does DC² provide fractional operations support?
Yes. Fractional support is one of the ways I work with businesses that need experienced operational leadership without necessarily adding another full-time executive.
Depending on the organization’s needs, I can provide support with business operations, organizational systems, strategic initiatives, project management, coordination and other priorities that require someone to take ownership and keep things moving.
+ Does DC² only provide ongoing support?
No. I offer both ongoing and project-based support.
Ongoing partnerships can provide additional executive or operational capacity, while project engagements can focus on a specific initiative, business challenge, process improvement or creative project.
If you know what you need, we can discuss the appropriate scope. If you’re not quite sure, that’s okay too. We can start with a conversation about the challenge and determine where I can provide the most value.
+ Does DC² provide communications, marketing, or creative services?
Yes. My background includes marketing, brand development, communications, copywriting, and other creative work.
Creative strategy is not separate from my operational experience. I approach creative projects with an understanding of the business goals behind them.
That means I can help organize the project, develop the strategy, manage the moving pieces and, when appropriate, execute the creative work as well.
+ Can DC² help me grow my business?
That's the goal! Growth isn't just about marketing. It can require better systems, clearer processes, stronger project management, additional leadership support, improved customer or client experiences, or simply having someone who can take ownership of important work.
I’ve experienced that firsthand through my own businesses and through the organizations I’ve supported. My role is to understand what you’re trying to accomplish and help identify where stronger organization, strategy or execution can move the business forward.
+ I'm interested in a service that isn't listed. Can you help?
Possibly. My experience covers a range of operational, strategic and creative work, so not every type of engagement fits neatly into a service list.
If you have a project, challenge or business need that isn’t represented here, contact me and tell me what you’re trying to accomplish. I’ll let you know if it’s something I can support and what the best approach may be.
